The role of the Senior Construction Project Manager involves managing clients' interests on capital and minor works programmes, providing advice in the resolution of issues where appropriate. A critical objective is to optimise the existing estate value and deliver best value for money.
Duties:
- Manage and monitor construction programmes and cost plans to minimise the impact of variations.
- Keep project stakeholders informed of progress, cost, and relevant issues.
- Oversee tender and contractor/consultant appointment processes.
- Chair and minute project review meetings.
- Maintain buildings, services, and equipment according to approved maintenance programmes.
- E nsure smooth information flow between parties.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and delays, and take action to resolve them.
- Agree valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants.
- Monitor build and material quality.
- Ensure contractual compliance.
- Assist with front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of construction project management experience.
- Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
- Proven track record of completing projects successfully.
- Level 8 Degree in Engineering or Construction.
- Current driving license and vehicle.
