Job Title:

The Depot Repair Specialist plays a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and testing defective service parts for X-ray and trace detection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot defective service parts for X-ray and trace detection equipment down to the component level
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment components to ensure optimal functionality
  • Test repaired parts to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications
  • Document repair processes and maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest improvements to repair processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge and Expertise:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining electronics
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and diagnostic repair techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required
