Job Opportunity

As a Lift Engineer Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in elevating the quality of urban life by contributing to the design and manufacture of elevators, escalators, and moving walks that transport billions of people safely every day.

The four-year apprenticeship program includes both theoretical knowledge and practical field experience, allowing you to gain expertise in your chosen field while developing essential skills such as communication, customer service, logical thinking, and analytical personal qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the four-year Lift Engineer Apprenticeship program, incorporating SOLAS, NVQ, and in-field experience.
  • Travel around Ireland as part of apprenticeship duties.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 16 years.
  • Educational requirements: Grade D Pass in five subjects on the Junior Certificate or an approved equivalent, or completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course, or three years' relevant work experience as deemed acceptable by SOLAS.
  • Advantageous but not essential: Previous study in Mathematics, Technology, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Physics, and Construction Studies.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Good communication skills.
    • Customer service skills.
    • Logical thinking and practical skills.
    • Analytical personal qualities.

Working Week:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Total hours per week: 37.
