Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civilian Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services).

The successful candidate will primarily provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction and education, administration, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality dental treatment and care to patients in line with professional guidelines.
  • Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in core subjects as recommended by the General Dental Council.
  • Supporting the Senior Dental Officer and Practice Manager with administrative functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Hold a GDC-approved Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Dental Therapy.
  • Evidence currency with GDC Continued Professional Development requirements.
