Job Title

A Senior DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of production applications under real-world load and user traffic.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing production applications, managing database operations, operating messaging systems, administering NoSQL databases, and troubleshooting production incidents.

Key responsibilities include monitoring system health, proactively addressing performance bottlenecks, implementing robust backup and disaster recovery procedures, and collaborating with development teams to ensure applications are production-ready and operationally sound.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of hands-on production support for web applications or distributed systems
  • Database administration experience with production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
  • Messaging system operations (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar) in production environments
  • NoSQL database management (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar) including scaling and performance optimization
  • Production incident response experience with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot under pressure
  • Monitoring and alerting setup and management (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
  • Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) used for ongoing operations, not just initial setup
