The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Registration as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the Specialty of Cardiology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in their specialist area.
  • Evidence based clinical knowledge in making decisions regarding patient care.
  • Effective planning and organising skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the on-call rota.
  • Presentation of information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Group facilitation and management through the learning process.
  • Constructive feedback provision to encourage learning.
  • Awareness and appreciation of the service user.
  • Leadership and team management skills, including working with multi-disciplinary team members.
