Job Description

The QC Microbiology Analyst role is crucial for ensuring the compliant design, construction, qualification, and operation of a new biotech drug substance facility. Responsibilities include qualifying the Microbiology QC lab, transferring microbiological analytical methods, and optimizing lab testing flow.

The candidate will develop expertise in analytical microbiology techniques and pharmacopeial methods, working with advanced technologies and automation in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting lab readiness, equipment qualification, and method transfers.
  • Performing routine microbiological analyses in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • Maintaining documentation, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting testing schedules.
  • Managing samples, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and ensuring Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a desire for continuous learning. They will possess excellent communication skills and an understanding of business processes.

Requirements
  • Motivation to be part of a high-performing team.
  • Relevant experience in analytical microbiology within GMP settings.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and microbiology techniques.
  • Understanding of business processes and effective communication skills.
  • Third-level science qualification in Microbiology or a related field.
