Your Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach two Scrum teams to achieve greater Agile maturity while maintaining a sustainable and productive development pace.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to keep teams aligned and on track.
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums and facilitate Program Increment execution.
  • Work alongside the product owner as a key team leader to proactively identify and resolve potential challenges before they arise.
  • Maintain relevant metrics that report on progress, such as burndown charts, defect trends, user story/feature completion rates, capacity, and velocity.
  • Support product owners in managing backlogs, refining user stories, and ensuring priorities are clear to drive successful sprint outcomes in line with business KPIs.
  • Anticipate and resolve obstacles hindering progress, enabling teams to focus on goals and deliver value consistently.
  • Act as a change agent, advocating for Agile principles and best practices across teams and the organization. Coach teams towards self-organization within SAFe.
  • Communication: Foster internal team communication by building a trusting and safe environment emphasizing problem-solving. Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  • Influence stakeholders, including leaders, Agile behavior through direct feedback and guidance.
  • Engage with individual squad members and groups to identify opportunities to improve Agile performance and practices and enhance Agile mindset.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • You are certified as a Scrum Master (CSM) and hold SAFe certification.
  • You have significant experience as a dedicated Scrum Master, helping development teams apply Agile, Scrum/SAFe & DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of proactively driving process improvements and solving problems for the product team to enhance its ability to deliver value.
  • Ability to create value for the product by actively anticipating and resolving issues.
  • You are proficient in Agile methodologies and experienced in proactively identifying and removing roadblocks to help teams maintain and enhance momentum.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies and track progress metrics (i.e., burndown charts, velocity, and user story completion rates).
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust within teams and facilitate effective collaboration between team members and stakeholders across the business.
  • You are an effective and experienced coach, capable of guiding teams to be self-organizing and achieve their objectives.
  • You are passionate about Agile and have experience in highly matrixed organizations where influencing without direct authority is key to success.
