Job Description

The National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients who have various orthopaedic conditions and provide them with the necessary support and therapy to improve their physical function and quality of life.

We are looking for a candidate who has a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and is registered with CORU. Experience working in an acute hospital environment or a physical rehabilitation setting would be beneficial. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and a patient-centered approach are essential for this role.

This is a rotational post that offers the opportunity to complete rotations in different areas, including Elective Orthopaedics with Hand Therapy and Paediatrics & Rehabilitation for Older Persons. The National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh is dedicated to developing the skills and competency of its workforce, and we welcome applications from occupational therapy graduates and experienced professionals alike.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with orthopaedic conditions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals
- Develop and implement treatment plans that cater to individual patient needs
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:
- Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with CORU
- Experience working in an acute hospital environment or physical rehabilitation setting (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills
- Patient-centered approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care
