The Hospital is seeking a Senior Perinatal Mental Health Social Worker to join their team.

Key responsibilities include providing recovery-oriented, client-centred social work services to women attending the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in social factors impacting mental health and family dynamics.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a coordinated approach to client care
  • Assess the person in their environment using a systemic perspective
  • Provide expertise on social factors impacting the service user's mental health and family
  • Emphasise Family Focused Practice and psychosocial assessments and therapeutic interventions that address the mother's mental health, the mother-infant relationship, the Partner/Supporter, and the broader family and community system
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Senior Perinatal Mental Health Social Worker qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
