AI Data Scientist Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled professional to join the AI Innovation Lab in Wexford, Ireland.

The role contributes to the lab's AI adoption efforts by assisting in the practical application of AI technologies.

Supports the activities of the AI Innovation Lab, assisting with the design, management and delivery of analytical insights and solutions through data analysis, data management and data science.

Primary activities include delivering technical, business strategic expertise and ensuring proper governance of data sources, models, attributes and analytic platforms.

Accountable for the data and insight strategy and its execution for the company.

Providing thought leadership both internally and externally regarding the use and application of data and analytics for competitive advantage.

Good communication and teamwork skills are also essential for collaborating effectively with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes discrete sets of information in routine situations
  2. Uses existing procedures to make routine decisions
  3. Organizes own work, following established processes or work plans and taking direction from others
  4. Supports discussion on impact and importance of findings on the business (either Equifax or external customer)
  5. Ensure proper use of Equifax data assets by working closely with data governance and compliance professionals
  6. Collaborate with senior analysts on data analysis and project development
  7. Support the development and testing of AI models
  8. Help prepare reports and presentations on AI project findings
  9. Learn and apply new AI techniques and tools
  10. Contribute to the documentation of AI processes and procedures
  11. Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions and assisting with data gathering and analysis for project updates

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline
  2. Less than 2 years experience with programming and data analysis
  3. Cloud certification strongly preferred
  4. Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python (preferred)

  4. Experience with cloud-based platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  6. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team
  7. Strong attention to detail
  8. Good communication skills
