Job Description

The role of Assistant Tax Manager in the Corporate Tax Group at a leading International firm of Accountants, Tax Advisors, and Consultants involves working across a portfolio of clients in various sectors. Many of these clients have an international focus, requiring a mix of tax advisory and compliance expertise.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with a portfolio of clients, coordinating service offerings from other departments.
  • Ensuring timely payment and return filing deadlines for corporate tax clients.
  • Working with Partners to advise clients on suitable business structures, transfer pricing, and profit repatriations.
  • Contributing to collective targets for billing, net fee income, and cash collection, as well as personal and firm-wide goals.
  • Involvement in peer-wide training, business development, and marketing initiatives.
  • Responsibility for staff development and reviewing procedures.

Requirements

AITI qualified and a qualified accountant are essential requirements for this role. The ideal candidate should have experience in corporation tax compliance and tax consultancy assignments, with in-depth knowledge of Irish Tax legislation, commentary, and case law.

Furthermore, the successful candidate should be able to:

  • Operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
