Estimator Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Longford, Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate estimates that support the continued growth of the business and bring strong industry knowledge and leadership skills to our well-established estimating team.

  • Prepare competitive cost estimates for structural steel projects.
  • Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications to determine scope.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender submissions, cost reports, and bid clarifications.

This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field would be advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office is also required.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 year's experience in estimating for structural steel projects in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating: Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel projects.

Project Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

Tender Submissions: Prepare tender submissions, cost reports, and bid clarifications.

Collaboration: Work closely with the contracts and project management teams to ensure smooth project handover.

Experience: At least 5 year's experience in estimating for structural steel projects in Ireland.

Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
