Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about creating safer and healthier workplaces.

\

The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive culture towards health and safety, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing an advisory service on Health & Safety matters.

\

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Promote and champion a positive culture towards health and safety\
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements\
  • Provide an advisory service on Health & Safety matters\
  • Liaise with managers and technical personnel to ensure health and safety aspects of new plant, equipment, and processes are fully assessed\
  • Ensure risk assessments and development of safe working practices\
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and devise strategies for improvement\
  • Maintain open communication channels with the Group Health & Safety Manager\
  • Contribute to the development of a proactive health and safety culture within the organization\\/ul\[

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in health and safety\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office\
  • Valid certification in health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma)\\/ul\[
