Job Description

EHS professionals play a vital role in maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to environmental, health and safety policies, and promoting a culture of compliance within an organization.

The EHS Advisor is responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective environmental, health and safety management systems across various projects. This involves adherence to statutory provisions, legislation, and project-specific safety plans.

  • Ensure all environmental, health and safety policies are up-to-date and communicated effectively to employees.
  • Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and safe plans of action.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections, document reports, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and advice on environmental, health and safety matters to management, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections, tools, and plant.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain environmental, health and safety management systems.
  • Adhere to relevant statutory provisions and legislation.
  • Develop and communicate environmental, health and safety policies.
  • Coordinate task-specific method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
  • Provide guidance and advice on environmental, health and safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate records.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Relevant third-level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (HETAC Level 7 or Equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of site experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.
  • Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently manage environmental, health and safety issues.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
