A maintenance manager is sought to oversee equipment, utilities, and facility upkeep—both planned and reactive—in a leading Vaccines company based in the Northwest of Ireland.
The maintenance manager reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant operations. This involves cross-functional collaboration and adherence to EU GMP, EHS, and company standards.
About Your Responsibilities:Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure seamless operation of equipment and facilities.
Schedule maintenance in advance, incorporating vendor work, EHS checks, and purchase orders to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Production and QC to prevent disruptions during maintenance access, utilizing a workload planner to balance tasks across the team.
Evaluate and prioritize equipment, utilities, and facilities for timely maintenance, assigning work to engineers and contractors as needed.
Manage Work Orders in eMaint, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field required.
At least 5 years' experience in maintenance and people management within a GMP pharma/biotech setting.
Familiarity with EU GMP guidelines, particularly Annex 1 and Annex 15.
Proficient in CMMS systems, preferably eMaint.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills essential.
Awareness of utilities and cleanroom systems (e.g., HVAC, purified water, steam, compressed gases).
