About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Cardiology Department at Sligo University Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology nursing and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Posts.
  • Work collaboratively with the cardiac team to provide holistic patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A recognized qualification in nursing or midwifery.
  • Significant experience in cardiology nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
