**About the Role:**

Finnings International is a leading distributor of Caterpillar equipment and services, and we're currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Equipment Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products, supporting 2nd life overhauls for the Construction Equipment product group.

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with strong electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting skills who can work effectively in a large workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to determine root causes of problems.
  • Produce comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work.
  • Undertake overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machines according to agreed work plans.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they meet expected performance levels.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in quality service environments within similar industries.
  • Practical knowledge of tooling and specialized equipment to conduct repairs on difficult and heavy machinery.
  • A licence to drive reach trucks.
  • Experience operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines.
