Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced operations manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of a leading manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of setters and operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations to meet targets, maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Manage staff, optimise processes for efficiency, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Direct production teams to ensure efficient and timely production.
  • Improve processes to maximise efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Implement production plans and schedule personnel to meet strategic goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues with equipment and production processes to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure products are provided to customers on time, meeting product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies.
  • Facilitate training, conduct daily meetings and organise reviews with operators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a precision engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CNC controls.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
