Are you an expert in backend development with a passion for architecting and developing large-scale systems? Do you have a strong expertise in algorithm design and database development?

As a Software Engineer 3, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining cutting-edge risk detection and prevention systems that protect our users and merchants from financial loss. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage machine learning, data analytics, and automation to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the integrity of our platform and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain software development products and platforms, integrate machine learning algorithms into E2E automation pipeline, build up AI applications and UI portal.
  2. Guarantee product and code quality by establishing best practices like code review, automatic testing, CI/CD.
  3. Develop tools which could be used to reduce human efforts and improve efficiency.
  4. Collaborate efficiently with software engineers, data scientists, and engineering teams across the globe to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain teams' products.
  5. Participate in the formulation and implementation of departmental processes, procedures, policies, and standards.
Requirements:
We are looking for strong technologists who are passionate about technology and able to continuously deliver state-of-the-art software solutions in scalable ways. The ideal candidate will have:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering field with 7+ year professional work experience in a relevant field. Or Master's degree with 5+ year profession experience or equivalent knowledge.
  2. Backend development experience with hands-on expertise in Python.
  3. Extensive experience in architecting and developing large-scale backend systems using Python, with strong expertise in algorithm design and database development.
  4. Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills - ability to triage and resolve critical tech issues without supervision.
  6. Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development.
  7. Proven experience in employing engineering/analytics solutions on real-world problems.
  8. Ability to work independently and proficiently on well-defined projects; Focuses primarily on how to achieve overall business objectives of a project with speed and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in big data technology such as Big Query.
  2. Knowledge on Machine Learning application pipeline.
  3. Data science skills in python.
  4. Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services.
