Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Speech and Language Therapists to support inclusive education across primary, post-primary, and special school settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To design and implement inclusive education strategies and interventions for students with communication disorders.
  • To deliver teacher professional learning seminars regionally with senior therapy staff.
  • To collaborate with senior therapists to develop interdisciplinary resources for schools and educational institutions.
  • To engage in in-school collaboration with teachers, including coaching and mentoring on effective communication techniques.
  • To review and evaluate interventions using current speech and language therapy literature.
  • To maintain accurate clinical records, outcomes, and service statistics for reporting purposes.
  • To manage and maintain therapy equipment and identify equipment needs.
  • To work collaboratively with regional colleagues, psychologists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support services.
  • To participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice with senior therapy staff to ensure best practices.
  • To support student therapists and contribute to staff training and development programs.
  • To promote participation and wellbeing at whole school, targeted, and intensive levels of support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience working in an educational setting with students with communication disorders.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive education strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
