Project Manager - Mechanical Construction

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-caliber projects. As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will play a key role in managing site safety, quality assurance, project schedules, and costs.

  • Lead site safety management in conjunction with the project team and safety specialists.
  • Manage site QA in conjunction with the QA manager.
  • Assist in managing project schedules in conjunction with the project team and project managers.
  • Manage and track all costs associated with the project, including Labour, Material, Plant & Equipment, Variations, and Valuations.
  • Support the oversight of all day-to-day site operations.
  • Directly manage the project team, ensuring alignment of all disciplines for project goals.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Ensure weekly minutes meetings with sub-contractors and package owners.
  • Assist in managing the in-progress snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable in support of the QAQC manager.
  • Report direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to the time administrator for tracking purposes.
  • Lead site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Support the close-out of all project items, including final account O&M Manual, Punch list, Safety File, QA File, Material and plant relocations, Project plan.
Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of the full design and construction process.
  • The ability to control and manage people and programs.
  • A trade background or a relevant third-level qualification.
  • A proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years as a construction manager.
