About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Automation & Operations Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in an electrical & instrumentation role and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience within the Water / Wastewater industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and maintenance of PLC based electrical control systems and instrumentation on site.
  • Diagnosis and repair of faults in mains power connections, power generators MCC's, transformers, motor starters VSDs & DOLs, electric actuators, and instrumentation.
  • On-site commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Coordination with operations personnel to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Diagnostic analysis and modification of existing electrical control and automation systems.
  • Optimization of instrumentation, PLC's, and electrical control systems.
  • Development of technical specifications and supervision of sub-contractors.
  • Evaluation of electrical and instrumentation control panel wiring schematics.
  • Implementation of quality assurance protocols to ensure all electrical and instrumentation installations meet relevant standards.
  • Compliance with company policies and adherence to proper health and safety procedures.

Personal Qualities Required

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, a full driving license, and a strong background in electrical and instrumentation roles.
