Job Title: Retail Security Officer

Job Summary:

">Retail security officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of customers, employees, and assets within a retail environment. They provide a visible deterrent against criminal activity, respond to incidents, and collaborate with local authorities when necessary.">

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity">
  • Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimize risk">
  • Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable">
  • Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and sensitivity">
  • Complete colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy">
  • Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning">
  • Provide detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities">

Requirements:

">

To be successful as a retail security officer, you will need to possess strong communication skills, be able to handle conflict professionally, and have a valid SIA license. Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage, but full training will be provided. You must also be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or back-to-school history.
