Supplier Quality Professional

The role of Supplier Quality Professional involves managing the Approved Supplier List (ASL) to ensure suppliers meet qualification and compliance requirements. This includes scheduling, preparing documents, coordinating with suppliers, tracking completion, and ensuring timely closure of findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the ASL by reviewing supplier performance, maintaining accurate records, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Support supplier audits by scheduling, preparing documents, coordinating with suppliers, and tracking completion to ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Process Change Notifications by reviewing, risk-assessing, and approving changes according to company procedures.
  • Manage Corrective Action Requests by initiating, tracking, and following up to verify that corrective actions address root causes effectively.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance metrics and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to departmental projects aimed at improving supplier quality processes and compliance readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, supply chain, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, supply chain, or manufacturing; internships or co-op experience in a regulated environment will be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interacting professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or QMS software is an advantage.
