About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Primary Care Team in Thurles and Templemore. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to adults in need of intervention to enhance their functional abilities and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience, with at least one year in a relevant area such as Primary Care, Community, or Rehabilitation. Strong experience in assessment and intervention planning within a community or primary care setting is essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
* Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions to adults within the Primary Care setting.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
* Provide intervention in areas such as self-care, mobility, housing adaptations, equipment prescription, and falls prevention.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, public health nurses, and GPs.
* Supervise and support junior staff, students, and occupational therapy assistants, ensuring high standards of practice.
* Participate in the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives within the Primary Care team.
