About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Social Worker in a Child Protection & Welfare Team in Dublin North East. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional who can make a real impact in the lives of children and families.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide a direct point of access for the local community, offering initial and holistic social assessment and intervention to children, youth, families, and groups.
  • Identify service users' individual and collective needs, working in partnership with them to co-create early interventions and/or social action strategies.
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload appropriate to the post.
  • Provide supportive counselling, emotional, and practical support to service users and their families.
Essential Requirements
  • CORU-registered Social Worker (essential).
  • Experience in child protection, children in care, family intervention, or similar fields is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Children First, HSE Safeguarding Policy, and Child Welfare Legislation.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
