Toolmaking Expertise in Precision Machining

We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our team in Galway. In this role, you will play a critical part in precision machining, tooling, and automation support.

  • Manufacture precision machined parts using EDM wire erosion, CNC milling, lathes, and surface grinders.
  • Interpret SolidWorks drawings and technical specifications to fabricate components.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers and production teams to optimize part design and modifications.
  • Perform high-precision wiring tasks, ensuring components meet exact specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
  • Prepare parts for anodising and assist in mechanical assembly during machine builds.
  • Perform daily maintenance on toolroom machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with designers to validate the fit and function of machined parts.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Toolmaker in a precision engineering or medical device setting.
  • Strong expertise in EDM wire erosion and CNC machining.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAM software (AutoDesk Fusion) and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft & Toolmaking or equivalent qualification.
