Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care and management as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with adult and later life psychiatric conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Promote best practices and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Fully registered with the Medical Council of Ireland or eligible for registration.
  • MRCPsych qualification or equivalent.
  • Registration as a specialist in the Specialty Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners, maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, in Adult and Later Life Psychiatry.
  • Seven years' satisfactory postgraduate training and experience in the medical profession, including five years in psychiatry, with three years in adult and later life psychiatry.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of the administration of psychiatric services.
  • High standard of professional attainment and requisite knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties.
