Sigmar Recruitment, Ireland's largest specialized fit-out contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Fit-out Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a large, high-profile fit-out project in the city centre.

This project is a fantastic opportunity to lead a specialized team and ensure the fit-out is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee all construction and fit-out activities on-site, ensuring compliance with quality standards, building regulations, and health and safety protocols.
  2. Coordinate Tradespeople and Subcontractors: Supervise all tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure the project progresses on time and within budget.
  3. Conduct Regular Site Inspections: Ensure compliance with quality standards, building regulations, and health and safety protocols.
  4. Health and Safety: Enforce safe working procedures and ensure health and safety practices are adhered to at all times.
  5. Project Updates: Provide regular project updates and report any issues or potential delays to the Project Manager.
  6. Effective Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and prompt resolution of any issues.
  7. Site Logistics: Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries and resource allocation, to avoid delays and keep the project on track.
  8. Documentation: Manage the completion of site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and quality control records.
  9. Mentorship: Mentor and provide support to site staff, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Fit-out Manager in the fit-out or construction industry, with experience leading large, high-profile fit-out projects.
  2. Trade Background: Ideally from a trade background or construction management qualification.
  3. Expertise: Expertise in managing specialized fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  4. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  6. Understanding of Construction Drawings: Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and industry best practices.
  7. Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in construction management, SMSTS, First Aid) and a valid CSCS card are desirable.
