Job Overview

This key role is central to our organizational success, ensuring timely delivery of commitments to customers while upholding the highest standards.

The job holder will have a proven track record of project delivery, accompanied by experience in developing diverse teams and fostering collaborative relationships internally and with clients.


Main Responsibilities
  • Represent Omexom UK professionally in various project situations, interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, policies, and legislation.
  • Contribute to programme development and resource planning.
  • Coordinate activities, resources, materials, and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to the engineering team, driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop reports for and as required for project reporting.
  • Interact with all Client personnel/interfaces as needed to ensure full cooperation on projects through effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Attend and undertake meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants as necessary.
  • Manage subcontractors.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to manage project costs and income, ensuring commercial targets are met.
  • Travel as required to support business needs.
  • Other duties deemed essential for the effective functioning of the Business Unit.

  • External stakeholders (e.g., Clients, Eirgrid, ESB)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

The successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter, possessing:

  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to monitor and accurately report performance against predetermined targets.
  • A sound working knowledge of electrical infrastructure, Safety Rules, and Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (ROI).
  • A proven understanding of safety and quality management.
  • Exceptional customer focus.
  • A willingness to adapt to our Values.
  • Experience and understanding of working within contract terms and conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to meet targets in a commercial environment and manage budgets.
  • Experienced in planning works in the most efficient manner.
  • People management skills and ability to motivate and engage staff.
  • Personal integrity, resilience, and robustness needed to operate in a fast-changing, highly commercial contracting environment.

Desirable Skills and Competencies:
  • Educated to degree level (preferably in an engineering, business, or project management discipline).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize their own time and schedule.
  • Sound working knowledge of broader electrical networks, including distribution systems and associated plant and equipment.
  • A passion for renewable energy and desire to develop new services in the market utilizing new innovative technology.
  • Knowledge of civil works would also be an advantage.
  • Full ROI Driving License.
