As a senior wastewater engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of new and upgraded wastewater network improvements in the Baile na nGall area. This role involves providing supervision and management on a programme of work to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in on-site supervision, contract administration and project management of civil engineering works, including water or wastewater projects. A degree in civil engineering is required, along with strong knowledge and experience of health and safety procedures and regulations.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be able to act within a team at all times and be flexible with regards to travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann, focusing on health & safety, time for delivery, cost management, and quality standards.
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with contract documents and applicable specifications.
  • Monitor and report on works being carried out, ensuring Employer's Requirements are met.
  • Implement Uisce Éireann's safety policies and standards on construction projects.
  • Review and comment on project/site specific HSQE documentation.
  • Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews and follow up on issues.
  • Actively participate in Uisce Éireann's HSQE team's monthly inspections.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience in on-site supervision, contract administration and project management of civil engineering works.
  • Degree in civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • A current and valid SafePass card is essential, Confined Spaces training would be desirable.
