Grounds Custodian

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Assistant/Gardener to join our facilities team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of hotel grounds and ensuring that all areas are safe and clean.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily workload effectively, utilizing resources for painting, decorating, and gardening.
• Performing maintenance tasks, including preventative routines in tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Monitoring the health of plants and greenspaces, watering and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, fertilizing and mowing lawns, weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter.
• Investigating and resolving equipment and control system issues.
• Assisting plumbers and electricians with defects in hotel systems.

• Prior maintenance experience is preferred.
• Safe Pass certification is advantageous.
• Qualifications in trades such as painting, plumbing, or construction are desirable.
• You should be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.
• Be detail-oriented and standards-driven.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible working hours are required.
• Strong command of English language.
