Job Description

This Regulatory Revenue Analyst position involves providing essential input into our business's regulatory revenue controls and allied processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of experts in economics, business, and commerce to drive business success and deliver strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and compile price controls and other required revenue submissions under the direction of the Economic Regulation Manager.
  • Contribute expert knowledge on regulatory financial and economic aspects to inform business decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting materials to the Economic Regulator, ensuring seamless compliance with regulations.
  • Support the finance team in implementing and monitoring regulatory allowances throughout the EirGrid Group.
  • Carry out in-depth research to identify best practices in regulatory approaches and their application to our business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial modelling and its implications for our regulated businesses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape a robust regulatory strategy that yields optimal outcomes.
  • Nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business functions and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain engagement with external economic consultants to enhance the delivery of price control and associated processes.

About You

  • You must hold a degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable role within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Superior analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, with the ability to form well-reasoned opinions based on available information.
  • Prowess in crafting clear, concise documents supported by evidence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in data analysis.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex economic concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with regulatory principles and practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Business acumen and an understanding of commercial operations.
  • Adept at adapting to changing circumstances while maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships to achieve shared objectives.
