The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for modular construction projects, working closely with design, engineering, and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for modular construction projects, using data analysis and interpretation techniques.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient solutions.
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, building regulations, and market pricing to ensure competitive and compliant estimates.
- Support the procurement team in contract negotiations and supplier selection.
- Liaise with project managers and finance teams to track actual costs against estimates and identify variances.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the modular or offsite construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and methodologies, particularly in modular and volumetric construction.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel; experience with 3D modelling and BIM is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
