We are seeking a Medical Care Specialist to deliver high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.

This is a part-time opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will promote and protect residents' rights, treating them with dignity and respect, and maintaining confidentiality of their information.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Promote and protect residents' rights and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
  • Remain calm under stressful conditions and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Document all changes in a resident's condition as soon as possible.
  • Complete work schedules and assigned tasks according to established policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely and only use equipment that has been previously trained on.
  • Utilize infection control precautions and practices in all activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report all safety violations.
    • High School diploma
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
    • Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Able to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat.
    • Able to work well with others and promote a team environment.
