Spectrum Management Role

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Radio Frequency Engineer to join our team in the Market Framework Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects and providing expert technical support within the Spectrum Operations Unit and the Market Framework Division.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with ComReg's IT team on enhancing and maintaining ComReg's licensing systems and databases.
  • Enhancing existing technical processes for the national and international coordination of radio frequency assignments for all licence types through the use of radio planning tools.
  • Assessing applications for radio spectrum licences as required, including conducting coverage/interference analysis, assessing terrain and field strength profiles, and cell planning & site selection.

You will be expected to work collaboratively and in cooperation with colleagues, engage with stakeholders and other administrations, and provide expert technical support for work items identified in ComReg's annual work programme.

To be successful in this role, you will need a diploma or degree in Engineering, Science or technology, or equivalent experience. You should also have experience and knowledge of a broad range of radiocommunication systems, technologies and radio frequency engineering across 5 MHz to 300 GHz.
