Site Civil Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our team in Co. Limerick.

The selected candidate will be part of an experienced team specialising in civil and utilities projects.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing site layouts, reviewing drawings and specifications, performing site tasks, and ensuring accurate setting out using total stations.

They will also be responsible for managing sub-contractors, labourers, and site staff through effective communication and coordination.

In addition, they will coordinate and control plant and material on site, ensure compliance with quality policies, and participate in site meetings to discuss and resolve issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • A third-level qualification in construction or civil engineering
  • Proficiency in Autocad, MS Project, and general IT skills
  • Experience working alongside clients and dealing with the public
  • Setting out GPS and Total Stations experience
  • Experience in utilities/water infrastructure projects
  • Ability to problem-solve and prioritise work effectively
  • Strong and accurate record-keeping abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fully qualified in Ireland
