We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the organisation, you will be responsible for promoting a strong health and safety culture throughout the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Effective Safety Strategies: Develop and implement effective safety strategies to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Accident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, and initiate non-conformances.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Fire Safety and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and communicate effectively with the fire consultant.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to personnel on their responsibilities and develop new work procedures and equipment.
  • Safety Committee Meetings and Record Keeping: Organise and facilitate safety committee meetings and maintain accurate records of site activities.
  • Legislative Compliance and Review: Stay up-to-date with new legislation and assess compliance with actions arising.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety: Possess a relevant qualification and experience in health and safety.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Have exposure to working as a health and safety officer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Be able to work effectively with differing departments and possess strong observational skills.
  • Proactive Approach: Demonstrate a proactive approach to day-to-day responsibilities.
