The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our container cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • To design and develop electrical systems for our container cranes, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • To analyze customer requirements and identify electrical requirements.
  • To manage electrical requirements and ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
  • To liaise with customers in respect of design requirements and details.
  • To document electrical system interfaces, control console layouts, and functions.
  • To generate specifications for electrical equipment including switchgear.
  • To manage the integration of electrical sub-systems and solutions, to ensure overall electrical function is delivered.
  • To ensure software developers are aware of electrical integration requirements and participate in software testing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Level 7 degree in any of the following disciplines: Automation / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills (verbal and written).
  • Confident at challenging the status quo and open to adapting new technologies or techniques.
  • Familiarity with Zuken E3 or similar drawing package.
  • Ability to analyze problems and derive solutions.
  • Ability to manage project requirements and schedules.
