German Language Expert

Unlock a new challenge as our German Language Specialist.

Your Mission:
  • Own the quality and consistency of all German content for Call of Duty - gameplay, in-game UI, multiplayer, live events, and marketing assets.
  • Drive transformation by reshaping our future through AI and automation. Implement new post-editing, translation, and review workflows to raise speed and quality standards.
  • Partner with Project Management, Localisation QA, and other Language Specialists to ensure German content is authentic, player-focused, and on-brand.
  • Be a go-to expert for terminology, style, and cultural adaptation, helping the team and external vendors solve problems and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Localise Call of Duty content (game, in-game text, audio scripts, live events, and marketing) from English to German using traditional translation and post-editing workflows.
  2. Take an active role in rolling out and improving AI-powered, automated localisation pipelines, including post-editing machine translation outputs.
  3. Review and approve assets before publication.
  4. Collaborate with Project Management, QA, and other Language Specialists to ensure clarity of expectations and alignment on quality.
  5. Provide guidance to external German vendors and internal testers; answer style and translation queries.
  6. Proactively track, evaluate, and help fix linguistic bugs and quality issues.
  7. Maintain and evolve translation assets (glossary, termbase, translation memories and style guides).
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a German Translator/Language Specialist, ideally in the games industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in post-editing and reviewing MT output is highly desirable.
  • Experience using memoQ or other CAT tools.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and AI-driven workflows is a plus.
