The primary role of the Fresh Food Manager is to lead the team, ensuring exceptional customer care, operational standards, and maximised sales while maintaining costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Store Management to provide top-notch food preparation, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Lead, train, and develop the team to deliver the agreed business strategy and exceptional customer experience.
  • Monitor and implement rigorous HACCP procedures for effective food safety, hygiene, and quality regulations.
  • Place product orders with suppliers in a cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor and address variations to the cost base on a weekly basis.
  • Deliver the budgeted KPI plan for the department and forecasts.
  • Analyse sales data and pre-empt customer needs to maximise sales.
  • Ensure products are prepared according to agreed procedures.
  • Implement department brand standards.
  • Coach the team to be passionate about sales, product availability, stock control, and customer service.
  • Implement process and business changes as per requirements.
  • Achieve specifications, standards, and procedures while trading safely and legally.
