About the Role

We are seeking a Care Professional to join our team at The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with dementia and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care to individuals with dementia, addressing their needs and enhancing their quality of life. This will involve working closely with our Day Centre Manager and other members of the team to ensure that each individual receives the best possible care.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience of working with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. A FETAC level 5 qualification is desirable but not essential. You will also need good communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing person-centred care to individuals with dementia
  • Addressing the needs of individuals with dementia and enhancing their quality of life
  • Working closely with the Day Centre Manager and other members of the team
  • Communicating effectively with individuals, families and colleagues
  • Being proactive and taking initiative in your work
