Job Description:
The Maintenance Equipment Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities in operation. This role requires liaison with external contractors for the maintenance and repair of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Liaise with external contractors for maintenance and repair services.
- Run and maintain a preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines.
- Responsible for the maintenance of plant and equipment, compiling standard specifications/procedures for each item and monitoring all existing plant to standard specifications.
- Responsible for specifying and purchasing suitable equipment spares and negotiating the best deal with procurement department.
- Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to pursue continuous improvement and ongoing business development.
Requirements:
- Time served Electrician - Advanced level 6 trade certificate qualification.
- A minimum of 3+ years post experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematic diagrams.
- Previous experience in CMMS and ability to navigate competently.
- Experience working on technically challenging applications (e.g., medical, Pharma, tight tolerance work).
- Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and external contractors.
