We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to lead our costing team within the PMO function of a large-scale rail project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing cost planning processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in budgeting, funding, and cost control.
- Developing and defining contingency management processes, enabling effective risk mitigation and resource allocation.
- Defining and managing funding and cash flow requirements, delivering timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Leading cost management support teams, driving strategic planning and process improvement.
- Drafting cost management requirements for procurement and contract documents, ensuring clarity and alignment with project controls framework.
- 15+ years' experience in cost management, with at least 5+ years in rail projects or similar scale and complexity.
Further experience and understanding of:
- Designing and implementing costing frameworks within PMO functions.
- Delivering cost management in major projects environments.
- Cost management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
- Cost analysis, cost modeling, and benchmarking processes and techniques.
- Costing systems and toolkits.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple reporting inputs and deliver project reports.
