We are seeking an ambitious and passionate Marketing & Engagement Specialist to join our client, a well-known public sector organisation.

The role offers an opportunity to expand your marketing expertise across various touchpoints and initiatives including market research, strategic campaign planning, content creation, event management, and brand building.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a marketing professional who wants to broaden their horizons in a renowned organisation.

The Marketing Communications Specialist will support developing and implementing marketing and public relations activities across the organisation, reporting to the Senior Engagement and Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Ongoing Reporting: Conduct market research and gather insights relevant to the target segments, the sector, and the broader labour market. Present findings to key stakeholders to feed insights and trends into future marketing activities.
  • Track and report on marketing metrics and campaign performance data.

Planning & Implementation:

  • Support the creation of marketing and engagement plans and update them on an ongoing basis.
  • Implement approved marketing & engagement campaigns across various platforms and assist in coordinating with media outlets.
  • Maintain campaign schedules and timelines, supporting the coordination between HR and hiring managers.
  • Liaise with the organisation's recruitment department to ensure the alignment of marketing campaigns as they relate to recruitment and onboarding.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors and partners such as creative and media agencies.

Content Creation:

  • Create and schedule engaging marketing content (website, social media, promotional materials, press releases, and others) that aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Showcase the organisation's employer value proposition, build awareness, and increase job applications through 'thumb-stopping' marketing content adapted to various channels.

Events & Community Engagement:

  • Provide operational support for events and assist in their execution.
  • Deliver effective communications and engage with schools, third-level institutions, local groups, and sports organisations as part of the organisation's outreach program.
