Expert Nurse Practitioner for Epilepsy Care

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team, delivering high-quality care to patients with epilepsy.

  • Job Description:

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) sets the criteria for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Our team provides expert nursing skills and interventions which transcend traditional nursing roles and responsibilities.

This role involves undertaking and documenting a complete episode of patient care (assess, diagnose, plan, treat and discharge patients) within collaboratively agreed protocols and scope of practice, with advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge.

Critical thinking, clinical leadership, and decision-making are core competencies of this role.

The role provides clinical leadership and professional scholarship to develop nursing practice and health policy at local, regional and national levels; it contributes to nursing research to shape and advance practice, education and healthcare policy.

We are looking for someone who can lead in service planning, engage in health policy development, identify care gaps, and lead change management; participate in clinical governance and research activities.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

Statutory registration and professional qualifications as required; eligible applicants must be registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Broad clinical experience relevant to the advanced practice field is essential.

Demonstrates competences relevant to the specialist area of advanced practice.
