Data Analysis and Modelling
As a Quantitative Risk Analyst at AIB Group, you will work within the Risk Analytics team to develop and support the deployment of risk models, strategies, and decision tools for regulatory capital, internal capital, and business decision making.

The team focuses on various areas including point-in-time performance analysis, long-term economic capital analysis, algorithms for automated lending decisioning, macroeconomic scenario forecasting, and stress testing.

The successful candidate will work on simulations of the macroeconomy for systematic risk and contribute to long-term studies on the effect of Climate Change on credit risk and sustainability.

This includes estimation of risk-based loan pricing, development of behavioural and portfolio models to support business decision making, and adherence to IFRS9, IRB, and stress testing standards.

The role also involves performing segmentation analysis and calibration of models, contributing to the development of standards and methodologies, extracting, transforming, and cleaning data for modelling, engaging with business stakeholders to understand how our models can support their decision making, and undertaking complex data analyses, investigations, and/or modelling of business issues.

Key skills required include a degree in a quantitative analytical discipline (mathematics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, econometrics, or actuarial science) and experience with SQL programming, with alternate programming languages such as R, Python, and Matlab being beneficial.
