Job Description
The Head of Electrical Design will be responsible for managing a team of design engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with industry standards. This includes overseeing the design process from concept through to final design approval and handover for production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical design engineers, providing mentorship, training, and technical support.
  • Delegate design tasks effectively while maintaining oversight to ensure project quality and timely delivery.
  • Oversee and participate in the design of electrical products, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Utilize EPLAN 3D design software to produce electrical drawings, schematics, and 3D models. Ensure designs incorporate safety, reliability, and efficiency principles. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to align design outputs with project timelines and deliverables.


Key Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong background in switchgear and control panel design.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN 3D design software is essential.
  • Experience leading a team of design engineers, with a proven track record of managing complex electrical design projects.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear design, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, BS). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
