Job Overview

This is a critical role in the development of next-generation medical technologies to treat abnormal heart rhythms. The position will be based out of Parkmore, Galway, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with research and development teams to develop test methods for ensuring readiness for the Test Method Validation (TMV) process.
  • Ensure all TMVs are validated to meet required procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with quality core teams to deliver project deliverables as an extended QCTM.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Perform systematic reliability analyses using techniques like fault tree analysis, failure trending and analysis, and reliability forecasting to understand product and process robustness.
  • Understand risk management concepts used throughout the quality system to meet FDA and international regulatory requirements.
  • Lead strategies for test method validations, design verification, and shelf-life protocols/reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of the job area combining breadth and depth typically from advanced education and experience.
  • Minimum Level 8 degree in engineering or relevant discipline with at least 7 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Practical knowledge of project management is a plus.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries preferably medical devices.
  • Ability to solve complex issues through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of reliability tools and practices supporting requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Critical thinking skills with focus on improved system performance and business impact.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential.
